If there is one brand that never fails to impress me it's Target. So when they announced that they would be launching a new line, I awaited with eager anticipation. I purposely dodged all reviews and blogs before viewing the line, to ensure that I would remain completely unbiased. Well...aside from the fact that I love Target that is.
The Anthropologie-esque line consists of 1300 carefully detailed pieces of home wares, from bedding to dinnerware, to furnishings. Prices range from $2 to $550. And let me tell you... it is o-p-u-l-e-n-t. Appropriately, the new line goes by the name OpalHouse.
OpalHouse is all about layering, texture and details. Y'all know I'm all about la vie Bohème (the Bohemian life) when it comes to styling my home, so this was straight up my alley.
The collection is divided into three parts. Canyon Sunrise has a West Coast organic vibe with southwestern colors and a decidedly feminine touch. The attention getting Mallorca is a blend of black, white and neutral colors. Perfect for those who lean towards a minimal style. Indochic rounds out the bohemian trio with a French-Vietnamese fusion of rich, striking and sophisticated jewel tones.
The truth is, I gravitated towards pieces from each of these sub-collections. For obvious reasons it would be impossible for me to feature all of the items in one blog post. So I simply selected pieces by color, to demonstrate how they might be used when styling a home. For your convenience, all the items featured below have been hyperlinked.
Orange pillow // Peacock tray // Wine glass tassels // Pink beverage decanter // Pink chair // Lilac purple placemat // Merlot pillow //
Teal blue pillow // Teal and green tray // Panther pillow // White settee // Teal candle holder // Wine glass tassels // Velvet teal floor pouf
Many might be inclined to agree with me when I say that this is by far one of Target's edgiest collection yet. Please tell me in the comments below, which item is YOUR favorite?
One more favor may I ask of you?
