When I was planning my wedding many years ago I had all sorts of dreams about what it would include. Yes, the array of dresses, venues, and flower bouquets to choose from was mind blowing. And I wanted it all!
But it was my Papa who pulled me to the side and said, "You have to live after the wedding baby girl". Sage advice indeed.
Much like planning a wedding, the popular festivities that take place between late October to New Year's often cause people to forget about the rest of their lives. It is indeed easy to do. Hundreds of merchants set aside BIG marketing budgets and push hard to get us to spend our money with them. Why not use that to our advantage?

How, you say? By thinking about the life that takes place after the holidays are over. Here's how to strategically plan your shopping during the hottest shopping months of the year. Ask yourself these questions:
- Am I, or is someone I know, planning a wedding or anniversary party in 2018?
- Am I, or someone I know, having a baby in 2018?
- Will I or someone in my family be graduating from a school or university?
- Am I planning to take on a home remodeling project in the spring?
- Do I need to restock supplies or update equipment for my business?
