Week Six Recap: The Secret Dry Bar Project

We’ve doubled-down on our efforts to close this project on time. It’s week 6 and my body is feeling it!

This week was all about my secret project. I also started a project that, to be truthful, should have been completed in week one or two—an inverted beveled fireplace. But we’ll talk more about that in week seven.

Let’s dive into my secret project. Last week, I briefly mentioned something about a bulkhead and shared a photo of in my Disquising Imperfections recap post. This week, we were ready to transform that space. Not only did we add the same beautiful grasscloth wallpaper, but I envisioned turning it into something special—a chic dry bar for wine and spirits.

We initially had grand plans for this small area. However, due to time constraints, we needed to modify those plans to stay on schedule. The results will still be spectacular, though a specific element, which would have taken 8 to 10 hours to complete, was simplified. This simple change turned a lengthy project into something that could be completed in about two hours.

Here’s the inspiration collage I pulled together to guide the look:

I’ll refrain from revealing all the details so as not to spoil the final reveal. But I promise the transformation is stunning. Stay tuned for the full reveal!
