Monday Musings: Rugs
This week's muse came about as I was helping a dear friend shop for a new rug. Choosing a rug is such a painstaking process because there are so many options. Its design, pattern and texture set the tone for everything else in the room. After looking at what seems like hundreds of rugs, I've narrowed down a few that caught my eye:Affiliate links may be included in this post. 4 Great Rugs for Bohemian-Inspired Interiors
love the old world feel of this rug. Can you imagine it flanked with two cream-colored modern wing back chairs, accessorized with touches of gold and radiant orchid (2014 Color of the Year) pillows? Ooh, la, la!
Here's a great way to add just a smidgen of texture to an otherwise boring room. For a peek-a-boo pattern, simply place a smaller, solid colored rug on top.
Here's one for those who aren't afraid of a "little" color. Solid, bold fabric choices pair well with this rug. A great choice for an office or study.
Finally, I LOVE the organic feel of this rug. It has a well traveled look which is perfect for globally inspired spaces. Give this rug more depth by layering it with a smaller ivory flokati rug, set on an angle, and you're all set!
Believe it or not, all of the rugs above are affordably priced, and can be found at Amazon. Feel free to click on any of the photos for more information.
