Wedding Week: Bold Color Inspiration for the Cool and Confident Bride

Welcome Wedding Week: Day 5

Did this week pass quickly or what?  Today is the fifth and final day of wedding week.  Welcome y'all!

It is also the day when I present the strongest color palette yet for this series. This color scheme is NOT for the shy bride.  Nor is it for the bride who needs to poll everyone before committing to a decision.

It is for strictly reserved for the bride with cool confidence (sans arrogance of course). The one who's not afraid to go beyond the traditional wedding colors.  THESE colors are for a "Becky wit' da good hair don't care" kinda girl. Ha!

Fuchsia, red, pink, plum-rose and gold make up this color scheme. As with the other two staged receptions we will start with one end and work our way around to the other.

Inspiration for a Bold Fuchsia and Pink Wedding Palette

Of all the three set ups this one was the most difficult to photograph.  These vibrant colors and the sun were constantly in competition with one another.  But I have to say, My styrofoam cake is looking dashing for the occasion!  And a new prop - a glitter manzanita tree makes an appearance.

I used the same white (restaurant quality) dinner plates ($1) and the stemless wine glasses ($1), which  are - believe it or not - from Dollar Tree.  Did you know that you can order items in bulk from Dollar Tree online?  The gold flutes purchased years ago, are from Pier One.

This is my favorite way to tie a chair sash.  Chairs draped like this remind me of a lady in a sleek dress.

The centerpiece consists of three gold vases (for emphasis and purpose), placed on top of a mirror, which is supported by two clear glass globes.  The gold vases appear to be floating.  The pink, red and light plum bouquets ($3.50) are from Hobby Lobby.  And the potted puff flowers ($3) are from Family Dollar.

Once again, Minted came through with these gorgeous menu cards.  The quality of their stationery is superb.  Each menu is topped with a smooth river rock to keep everything in place.

Recall that these pink salad plates are the ones I made for my ladies night in get together.  To my surprise they blended perfectly with this setting.  Don't you just love it when something unplanned works out in your favor?

It has been my absolute pleasure to be able to present these ideas.  It was a TON of work, but I enjoyed every creative moment of it.  I hope that in this process, I've inspired a bride or anyone planning an upcoming party, to push the cookie-cutter-boundaries just a teeny bit more to produce something that reflects their unique personality.

If you commented, messaged me on Facebook, pinned, shared, or tagged me on Instagram - THANK YOU!!!   I am also deeply grateful for all of the compliments I've received throughout this series.  Believe me, there are a lot of people out there who are way better than I am at this sort of thing.  I'm just a chick behind a computer who daydreams an awful lot about decor!  Ha!

Now it's YOUR turn to talk.  Please tell me in the comments below:

  • Which color scheme was YOUR favorite?
  • What colors would you like to see next time?

Thank you for your visit!
